INVIYA® is featured in the August 2026 issue of AO India, in the magazine's Fashion Raw Materials section, marking a decade since the brand's first filaments were spun at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, in 2012.

A Decade of Purposeful Growth

When INVIYA® launched, India's spandex supply was largely imported, and manufacturers depended on overseas suppliers for technology and consistency. INVIYA® set out to change that under its original promise, "The New Freedom Fiber" — giving Indian knitters, weavers and garment manufacturers local access to world-class spandex for the first time. In the years since, manufacturing capacity has grown five-fold between 2012 and 2023, and INVIYA® yarn now reaches mills and brands in more than twenty countries across four continents, with Bangladesh, Turkey, Egypt and Italy among its strongest markets.

From Supplier to Technology Partner

As apparel brands began demanding more from stretch fabrics — better recovery, shape retention, consistent colour and durability through repeated washing — spandex shifted from a hidden component to a critical performance ingredient. INVIYA® responded by building expertise across the entire textile value chain, from yarn engineering through to garment construction.

“That change in the conversation is what pulled us out of the plant and into our customers’ design rooms.”
— Shalendra Vasudeva, Chief Marketing Officer–Spandex Biz, Indorama India Pvt Ltd

A Growing Portfolio of Solutions

That shift is reflected in INVIYA®’s expanding range of specialised products: sustainable stretch through ECOMODA100™, deep black aesthetics with BLAKC™, advanced dyeability through COLORITE™, and dependable comfort stretch with SNUGFIT™ — each built on years of application learning and close customer collaboration.

A New Promise: Crafted to Transform

As the company entered its next phase of growth, INVIYA® introduced a new brand philosophy: Crafted to Transform. "Crafted" reflects the technical expertise and manufacturing precision behind every filament; "Transform" reflects what customers go on to create with it — new fabric structures, new garment categories, and new consumer expectations.

Certified for the Future

With athleisure and functional apparel continuing to grow and recycled materials becoming a global benchmark, INVIYA® now backs its sustainability claims with independently verified credentials: OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, GRS and RCS 100.

“A fibre only matters in someone else’s hands. Crafted to Transform is our commitment to keep engineering for what our customers want to build next.”
— Udaya K S, CEO–Spandex Biz, Indorama India Pvt Ltd
