Indorama India Private Limited, Baddi (IIB) has sponsored a project named 'Women Empowerment through Skill Training for Employment Generation- Rojgar Saarathi' in Ranchi, Jharkhand, wherein mobilisation, orientation, counselling & employability training towards conducting stitching classes on sewing machines with well experienced professional tutor were provided to underprivileged women.
The Rozgar Saarthi model is designed to overcome the challenges and provide job role clarity and employability skills to students before migration for employment and it is further dedicated in enhancing the capabilities of the women through skill enhancement by providing training on soft skills, life skills and employability for reduction in attrition post joining.
Indorama India Private Limited, Baddi (IIB), has generously sponsored a project titled 'Establishing a Digital Learning Centre/Computer Lab in a Government Primary School in Vayana Village, Ahmedabad,' with the objective of promoting education. The project has successfully established a digital learning centre in the government school of Vayana village in Gujarat, providing approximately 200 students with access to the proposed digital infrastructure annually. Furthermore, the teachers of the school will receive a three-month training program from experts to help them efficiently manage the digital centre and benefit the students going forward.
The CSR arm of IIB believes that education can bring positive transformation in the life of people, especially people experiencing poverty. The level of education has a direct impact on the living standard and income level of any community. The Digital Center approach will help the children to access quality digital education at their school.
The Digital Center will serve as a central hub for educational activities in schools with a 200 sq. ft. room with a variety of indoor games, a library, audio-visual facilities, computers, tablets, seating facilities, Smart TV, and more. This dedicated space will include a lab area and games section, where young minds can shape their ideas through hands-on, do-it-yourself activities and learn innovative skills.
The Digital Centre will serve as a hub for education and career guidance activities in villages, bridging the gap between opportunities and underprivileged communities. Adopting a hybrid educational model, it will provide a blend of online and offline education while linking students to various government schemes and skill-building programs. This initiative will promote and facilitate digital education, career guidance, extracurricular activities, and more, empowering students with the knowledge and skills needed to achieve their goals.
